St John's Players

scene from past production

St. John’s Players are a friendly and enthusiastic amateur dramatic society based at St. John’s Hall, Bourne Hill, Palmers Green, N13. The Society was founded in 1952 by members of St. John’s Church. Throughout our history we have kept up consistently high standards without losing our ability to enjoy ourselves. We are now the only drama group both based in and performing in Palmers Green.
Our principal activity is rehearsing and performing two full length plays a year.  Recent productions have included such classics as “Pygmalion” by George Bernard Shaw and “Harvey” by Mary Chase. The picture is from our latest production “Thriller of the Year” by Glyn Jones (by permission of Samuel French). Our next production will be on 27, 28 and 29 November.
If you are interested in treading the boards, now would be a good time to join us as we will soon be choosing our next play. We meet every Thursday evening at 8.30 in the Small Hall at St John’s. Susanna will be directing and would love to see some new members. We would also like to meet anyone who is interested in working back stage in any capacity. If you are interested then give Susanna a ring on 020 8886 3887.
We intend to have a BBQ and theatre outing some time during the summer. Come and meet us there.
